The Singaporean subsidiary of Aberdeen oil services group OEG Offshore (OEG) has enjoyed a successful first exhibition at this year’s Subsea Asia conference.

OEG Asia Pacific PTE Ltd (OEG APac) – which specialises in the design, build and rental of cabins and cargo-carrying units for the offshore oil and gas market – was one of more than 130 companies showcasing their services and products on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia’s capital.

Senior management from OEG APac attended the show to provide on-hand technical expertise and advice to delegates visiting their stand.

Earlier this week the company announced that it has won several contracts worth more than £900,000 ($1.3 million USD) since launching the firm’s base in Jurong, Singapore, at the end of 2009. The deals have been secured with customers in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia and the Philippines, with a range of products provided to each region including cargo-carrying units, specialist A60 cabins and DNV containers.

John Aw, OEG APac’s regional director, said: “Subsea Asia 2010 was a great opportunity for us to let potential customers know about our presence in Singapore and the services that we can provide to the whole of the Southeast Asian market.

“This is the first time that we have participated in the Subsea Asia conference and we experienced a high level of enquiries for our services and products during the three-day event.

“OEG APac’s objective to become a key player in the region’s container industry is very much on course for success. Reputation is a major contributor to our success, and our ability to deliver on time and on budget means that customers know they can rely on us. Furthermore, the contracts we have secured since setting up our Jurong base at the end of 2009 have been geographically varied, therefore demonstrating our ability to meet demand anywhere globally as well as the growing recognition of our services across the region.”
