OEG Offshore, a leading global provider of offshore cargo carrying units and A60 engineering cabins, today confirms Adrian Bannister has been appointed as chief financial officer (CFO) of the OEG Offshore group of companies.

Mr Bannister will assume responsibility for the group's global finance team activity, including accounting, taxation, regulatory and reporting matters for OEG worldwide.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Mr Bannister was most recently CFO at Viking SeaTech Ltd where he managed the company's financial and business investment strategy. After joining in 2012, the business achieved significant growth, with revenues exceeding £70m.

Prior to Viking SeaTech, he held CFO positions with Stork Technical Services and Sparrows Offshore Group Ltd.

Mr Bannister will be based at OEG's Aberdeen office and will also join the group's board, which governs the holding company and each of its regional operating companies.

John Heiton, chief executive of OEG, said: “We are delighted to welcome Adrian to the OEG group.  He is a highly experienced and established financial leader with knowledge of the international offshore sectors and geographical regions in which OEG operates.  With more than 25 years’ experience in the energy finance sector, Adrian will add great strength to the company as OEG accelerates its global expansion plans.”

Mr Bannister is a non-executive director at Cortez Subea Ltd and also holds a governor and chair position on the finance committee of St Margaret’s School for Girls in Aberdeen.

OEG Offshore attracted significant investment from KKR in 2014, focussed on fuelling further growth as the group expands its operations across its regional hubs in key locations including Singapore, Australia, and USA and 20 further diversified stocking locations worldwide.

The group also boosted its presence in the Caspian region with the purchase of OSCA Environmental Services Ltd, in the summer of last year – adding some 2,500 units to its stock in the region.
