Leading oil services firm OEG Offshore Limited – which specialises in the design, build and rental of cabins and cargo-carrying units for the offshore oil and gas market – has appointed a new Business Development Manager to strengthen its sales team.

Based in Aberdeen, Steve Todd, 44, will play a key role in increasing OEG’s client base in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, with a particular focus on promoting the group’s growing specialist module build and rental fleet.

Steve joins OEG directly from LabTech Modular Engineering where he held the role of Business Development Manager for two years and was instrumental in the development of new business and products. Prior to that, he managed Schlumberger Oilfield Services’ UK sales division and headed up business development in India and North and West Africa. Steve also previously worked for Ferguson Seacabs as Sales and Marketing Manager.

Craig Russell, Commercial Director for OEG Offshore, said: “Steve’s appointment is another strategic step in OEG’s ambitious global growth plans; his previous key roles in sales, marketing and business development, combined with his experience of the UK, Indian and African markets will make him a valuable addition to our sales division.

“Growing on an international level is at the forefront of OEG’s objectives for 2010, and we believe that Steve’s appointment will help us develop our client base in Europe, Africa and the Middle East at the same rate as our business is developing in the Asia Pacific region.

“Through our strong support network and international fleet bases, our presence across the world is steadily growing, allowing us to provide customers with a high standard of services and support regardless of time limitations or location.”

Steve added: “OEG is a rapidly-growing company, and I am looking forward to working for an ambitious firm with an excellent international reputation for putting customers first. Having worked previously with LabTech and Ferguson Seacabs, I believe my established contacts and product experience in the offshore container and module industry will prove useful in increasing OEG’s presence in the sector on a global level.”
