Specialist Offshore Modules head to Mozambique
Leading offshore Cargo Carrying and A60 module company OEG Offshore (OEG) announces the recent completion of a specialist workshop build project for the Coral South Development Project.
OEG Offshore Ltd.’s facility in Dyce, Aberdeen has recently delivered a trio of units, including a specialist workshop container and two spares containers for ENI’s natural gas field development, Coral South in Area 4 of the Rovuma Basin, offshore Mozambique.
The scope of work included the design and manufacture of bespoke manufactured 20ft x 8ft offshore containers meeting the strict structural design standards of DNV 2.7-1 / ISO 10855 / CSC plated and equipped to meet Zone II hazardous classification.
The non-pressurised Zone II workshop container was equipped with personnel door, shelving units, steel workbench, pipe vice, roller drawers and cabinets for secure storage of tools and parts. In addition, a gantry crane rail with chain hoist, air conditioning system, emergency lighting and escape hatch were also part of the customer’s specific project requirements.
The bespoke Zone II workspace will be utilised to support the subsea production system installation and workover activities on the drilling rig. Furthermore, the spares containers will provide secure storage on the drilling rig for subsea production equipment, spare parts and consumables used for Mozambique Coral South.

OEG’s standard range of DNV 2.7-1 containers and baskets along with A60 engineering cabins are available for sale and rental within the region.
