OEG Offshore, headquartered in Dyce, is delighted to fundraise for an exciting local charity that support children and adults with learning disabilities, on their doorstep.
OEG, which provides cargo carrying units and A60 cabins to the energy industry, has donated £400 to Archway Dyce which will be used to support a growing number of service users at the Dyce unit. Their donation was raised from a charity raffle at an annual summer event.
Established in 1983, Archway is an independent Aberdeen based charity offering a range of innovative community based services to improve the opportunities available and quality of life for people with learning disabilities in Aberdeen and throughout the North East area
Janine Davies, Archway's PR & Fundraising Manager said: “Children and adults of all ages and disabilities use the Dyce respite unit. We have six single bedrooms, a fabulous activity room and sensory room as well as a fully enclosed sensory garden for our service users to enjoy. We offer a range of social and leisure activities to help develop social and interpersonal skills, build confidence and ensure service users enjoy full and active lives in the community.
OEG's donation will help Archway Dyce plan more events and purchase additional equipment.”

My recent visit to the unit was extremely welcoming and I really enjoyed talking with Fraser, Douglas and the other centre users about the support and respite care provided by Archway.”
Archway now supports in the region of 200 children and adults with learning disabilities through its respite, shared and permanent care services. While over seventy members of staff provide care services they remain user led to ensure they can respond to changing needs and develop innovative new services to meet them.
