Aberdeen-based Containental Offshore (Containental) has successfully completed a £125,000 ($200,000) contract for oil and gas service provider Hunting Energy Services (Hunting).

Containental – which designs and supplies specialist cabins, containers and baskets for the oil and gas industry – supplied six 20ft x 8ft custom-built workshops to Hunting in Houston. The units are to be delivered to end user BP for a project in Baku.

Group Commercial Director, Craig Russell, said: “This deal was secured through Containental's agent in the United States, based in New Orleans and Houston. Having a far-reaching network of global agents and contacts has been instrumental to our ambitious plans to expand the company into new geographical areas of potential business. Securing the Hunting contract in Houston is testament to the success of these plans.

“Hunting was looking for a quick response and by utilising our geographical spread of stock units and our ability to modify these quickly to meet the specifications of the customer, we were able to mobilise the units and deliver them successfully within the required timescale and budget.”

A leading provider of specialist offshore rated containers and baskets, Containental Offshore has developed an extensive fleet and range of cargo carrying units spanning approximately 50 different types, all designed to the latest DNV 2.7-1 and BS EN 12079 specifications.
