OEG Offshore has designed and manufactured a DNV 2.7-1 / 2.7-2 Zone 2 bespoke equipment frame for a new customer who delivers engineering solutions to the energy and process industries.
The 20ft x 8ft equipment frame was delivered on time and on budget for the UK customer and will house an array of specialist pumps, tanks and filters used to improve oil and gas recovery from mature fields. The frame will be mobilised initially for a US based project but will be used to support future offshore projects in international waters.
The equipment frame will be positioned in a Zone 2 hazardous area and is fully compliant to the DNV 2.7-2 standard. All the electrical equipment supplied by OEG is Ex certified and the frame is also fitted with smoke & gas detection to comply with the requirements of DNV 2.7-2.
