Oil services group OEG Offshore (OEG) has expanded into Australia's Northern Territory through its link-up with a Darwin-based fuel handling equipment specialist.

OEG - which supplies clients in the offshore oil and gas industry with specialist, A60 pressurised engineering cabins, containers and baskets - is exclusively working with Tank & Pump Services (TPS), which will act as regional representative for the Northern Territory, East Timor and Papua New Guinea.

The two firms will work side-by-side to provide an integrated range of services to clients. A fleet of up to 100 of OEG's units is expected to be on the ground at the Darwin base in the near future.

As part of its plans to develop and grow its client base in Australia, OEG will also be exhibiting at the Australasian Oil and Gas show in Perth later this month (March).

Craig Russell, Commercial Director of OEG Offshore Group, said: “We are very much looking forward to working with TPS; with more than 20 years' experience, it is a well-respected company and the partnership will enable us to establish a strong presence in the region. OEG and TPS' services complement one another, meaning that together, we can present a fuller range of products to potential clients that are not currently available in the Northern Territory.

“Linking up with TPS in Darwin is the latest phase of OEG's long-term plans to create a global network where we can provide customers with readily available support anywhere in the world.

“Since the final quarter of 2009, OEG has been actively growing its presence in the Asia Pacific region - initially through the establishment of its subsidiary office in Singapore – and now by linking up with a regional representative in Northern Australia. The APac region will continue to be a key focus of our business development throughout 2010.”

Dirk Alber, Director of TPS, said: “OEG has a wide range of high quality, modern fleets and by combining this with TPS' ability to accommodate transportable tank and pump needs, we can offer a competitive service to clients in the Northern Territory. I anticipate that this will be a successful venture for both parties.”

OEG will be appearing at stand J06 at AOG in Perth Convention Exhibition Centre from Wednesday March 24 until Friday March 26.
