Vertec Engineering (Vertec) has secured a clutch of rental contracts totaling more than £80,000 in recent months.

In the past quarter, the company has mobilised the rental units for a number of major operators for use in both African and European waters.

Vertec has supplied a number of different specialised cabin units to companies including Schlumberger, Expro, Weatherford, Seawell and Baker Atlas.

Vertec Sales Manager, Mark Slater, said: “This recent flurry of contract awards saw us supplying specialised well-service cabins for offshore technicians monitoring drilling processes and technicians involved in sample analysis work for logging activities. We also delivered office accommodation for campaign maintenance personnel, which was refitted quickly to meet their specific requirements.

“Part of our appeal to our customers lies in our ability to respond quickly to requests for quotes and to deliver units in accordance with tight deadlines. This is achieved through our availability of units from stock and the flexibility of our rental units' design to be quickly and easily modified to suit any individual clients' needs.”

Mark added: “Due to continued low oil prices, many industry operators currently have less capacity to invest significantly in goods and equipment and as a result organisations are increasingly turning to the rental market which can offer them more cost-effective solutions.

“Our flexible rental fleet offers a wide range of innovative solutions to clients' needs and the planned investment to extend our fleet early next year will further enhance our offering in this area.”
